“Italians don’t dare drink them after noon”
Warning: long post ahead, but I wanted to keep this funny memory. Ms. Dena offered to keep Faye last night, so we dropped her off at 5:00 and headed out to Sushi Brothers on St. Charles for dinner. We had leftovers to bring home, so we didn’t stay out in the city like we planned. But after a quick walk at LaSalle Park and another few miles on the treadmill, it was still only 8:45, so we went out again…for coffee. We went to French Press on Williams and got 2 small lattes. We did the Times crossword puzzle and looked up the difference between lattes and cappuccinos (hence the title of this post). It was a really great date night. On the way home at about 10:00 I said, “I’m sleepy. I think caffeine doesn’t work on me anymore.” Fast forward to 12:30am when I am still wide awake in bed. I thought Shaun was asleep, but when I put on a movie to try to fall asleep (500 Days of Summer), he opened his eyes and watched it with me. We ended up watching the whole thing and still couldn’t fall asleep. I think Shaun finally succumbed around 2:30, and I followed about an hour later after watching cartoons on my computer. Luckily we knew we wouldn’t have to get up early since Faye was sleeping at Maw Maw’s. At least now I know caffeine still works, and we had a good laugh about it! We’re off to Maw Maw’s soon to fetch Faye and maybe watch the Saints game and have some boiled seafood. And maybe a nap. :)

Ha ha, that’s funny. The insomniacs over here at Casa Gehring feel your pain. I am impressed though that you were on the treadmill during your date night, that’s dedication!
After reading about your 5k morning, I was inspired!
