Fun at the Park

This morning we went to the playground and Faye had a great time. She learned to climb the stairs all by herself and come down them with minimal help. She accidentally went down the big slide, but enjoyed it even though she busted her lip a little. (A very little; I didn’t even notice it until later.) Next time I’m bringing the stroller because I had to carry her all the way home.

Gramps says he remembers that Henry would walk as long as they were walking away from home. But when it was time to go back, he always had to be carried. It’s funny how they do that. She looks so happy to be a the park with her Mommy. Give her lots of kisses for us.
    Love, Grammy

I think our walk is just a little too far or Faye’s just a little too young, because I had to carry her both ways. She walked the first block, then kept getting in front of me and raising her arms. I put her off as long as possible, then carried her the rest of the way to the park. The whole point of the walk is for her to burn energy, so I wish she would walk. I left the stroller at home to deter her from giving up. Alas, I was the one who gave up!

my motto is if it is further than 2 doors down, bring the stroller, just like we would rather take our cars down the street, for an errand instead of walking, kids would rather be pushed in a stroller than walk, plus remember they have to take about 4 steps to our one, so it makes the trip father for them. love yall
