The Italian side breaks free

  

Faye has always been anti-red sauce since she started eating solids, but today she finally gave some red sauce spaghetti a try for lunch and liked it! Yay! We were expecting her to just whack the spoon out of our hands but she gobbled it down. She was also in a “hands-on” mood for lunch with wanting to feed herself (she almost always wants her own spoon now). I’d say it didn’t go quite as planned.

The other surprising thing she did was eat corn! She also started to try peas, but usually spits them out. At least she’s trying. That’s more than her daddy will do! :)
