Got the trench filled as it started to drizzle.
Only had one minor problem, I seem to have miscalculated the depth needed for the sprinkler heads, so they stick up about 1-2 inches from the dirt. But I think once the grass grows back they won’t be as noticeable. I’ll just have to go around them with the mower. But it’s something I can live with for a $150 DIY project (minus trench rental). :-)

Everything amazingly went according to plan and the sprinklers worked great on their first test. Yay!
All that’s left to do now is bury the pipe and then fill in the trench.

Meanwhile, Faye and I went for a little walk. It’s hot out here!

Shaun is installing a sprinkler system in the backyard because the grass has brown patches. He rented a trenching machine from Lowes to dig the trench. Looks like fun.

We tried Faye out in the exersaucer and she really likes it. She’s technically not developed enough for it (they’re supposed to be able to sit without support first) but she gets along just fine. We don’t keep her in it too long anyway. Thanks to my friend Marni for giving it to us.

Sorry it’s been so long since we posted. Just been busy. Here’s Faye, getting bigger by the day. She loves to roll over onto her tummy, but she can only go in one direction. Here I am trying to get her to roll the other way with no success.

Yesterday must have been a growth spurt day for Faye. The ladies at the daycare said she was wonderfull all day, just chatting away to herself and in a happy mood. The highlight of the day though was after she got home she started reaching for toys hanging on her carrier and bouncer! Something she’s never done before.
Here’s some video of her this morning showing off her new skill.

That video was lame; I took it with my phone so it’s small. Here is a still shot I took right before.
Faye had a couple of rough nights this week, due either to teething, side effects from her vaccines, or being allergic to the rice cereal we tried to feed her. She barely ate any so we doubt it’s the latter, but we stopped it anyway for the rest of the week to give her a break. Now she’s doing much better.
She’s liking the cold teething toys as well so maybe it’s that. We keep checking for teeth.
