We’re still here

The internet at the house and on our cellphones went down yesterday at around noon. The house dsl is still down, but our cellphones work this morning.
Took a look at the house yesterday and we made out ok. Only the basketball goal got messed up because of the ground being so saturated. A little push was all it took for it to pop out the ground. I wanted to take it down anyway. Thanks Ike!
One of our tiny trees in the back yard is also leaning over some, so it’ll probably come down too.
We took a walk around the block yesterday and it seems the most common damage was roof shingles coming off the two story homes. I had a pile from our neighbors roof in our side alley. We saw one small tree toppled over and two small sections of fence knocked over. So we did pretty well.
Faye is doing better as well. She’s got her appetite back enough to where she wants to eat again every 3 hours, but still only drinking around 3-5 oz, maybe 6 sometimes, a feeding. That’s very good, and hopefully she’ll get more appetite back so she’ll get back on a full 7oz bottle at each feeding. We tried solids again but she’d still rather gag. So we’re taking our time with that.
