Back home

We’re back at home now.

The hospital took an X-ray, drew some blood for lab work, and gave Faye 250ml of IV. She was diagnosed with a mild case of dehydration, but nothing too serious. Her temperature did jump to 102.5 while we were there but some tylenol and motrin got it under control. She’s been averaging 99-100 since Saturday.

We’ve been trying to get her drink some fluids but refused them all. We tried apple juice, white grape juice, white grape peach, plain water, some green gatorade, and pedialyte. Of course she ended up wanting the one thing she probably shouldn’t have, formula. Probably not good for diarrhea but at least its getting some fluid and food into her.

We’ll probably keep her home all this week from daycare to monitor her and hopefully get her well again. In case these back-to-back bugs she got came from there. Tomorrow she’ll go to her pediatrician for a follow check.

And now it sounds like there’s an alien in her diaper trying to escape… so toodleloo.
