33 weeks
Sorry this is a few days late, but we were on vacation! Here’s the update:
This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. She’s rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and her skeleton is hardening. The bones in her skull aren’t fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for her to fit through the birth canal. These bones don’t entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as her brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.
Doesn’t sound like much is going on. She’s just growing and making her mom’s belly bigger every day. My next appointment is Friday and January 16 is our “Infant Care” class, so we’ll let you know how that goes! I can’t wait to see Shaun change a diaper. He’s going to be awesome at it.

A pineapple! Hee. I can’t wait until they say she’s the size of a watermelon. *eye roll*
Glad y’all had fun on your trip!
