One of the new things about the new house is we have a community
mailbox. Something I never new existed outside of apartment complexes. In New Orleans, most of the homes have the mailbox right next to you front door.

So now my daily outing takes me outside, down the street past houses, past the water tower, and a left when the street turns and cross to the mailboxes.

While I prefer a door mailbox, or even the curb one, this isn’t all that bad. Makes me take a short walk everday. :)

Phew…. What a week. We pretty much have everything unpacked except for the books, tapes, and dvds that will go in the armoir in the front. Just need to clean up all the tools and boxes all over the place.

Got the keys for the new house today and starting to bring some stuff over. Here’s a quick photo tour.

Living room, dining room, fireplace in the middle, kitchen with breakfast room, 2 car attached garage, 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths (master with huge counter), and the giant water tower down the street. Gonna be a fun weekend. :)

Pretty much everything in the house except half the kitchen, master
bath, and clothes is now in a box ready to move.
Hoping to get the keys tomorrow morning so I can start moving little
things over in the car. But we’ll have the keys by evening for sure.
