Back to New Orleans
Heading back to New Orleans now to visit with Donna’s dad and stepmom. Henry wanted to ride with us so we said sure. He’s hot his speak and say with him. Which probably means hearng “Old McDonald had a farm…..” over, and over, and over, and over. :)
K-mart finally reopened their store recently. Super Wal-mart has been the only place really to find, well, everything in Bay Saint Louis. It’s still the only place to grocery shop. Wonder if K-mart has food. There now a Lowe’s and a Home Depot open too. There like right next door to each other too. Kinda funny.
We got some good news from Donna’s mom. She got approved for a Habitat for Humanity home. That should probably be done for next Thanksgiving. Yay!
But then we got some bad news. :(
We found out yesterday around noon that Donna’s grandfather (stepmom’s side) passed away Friday morning. We’re not really sure what the plans for today are. We were going to have a little party for Henry for his birthday (tomorrow) and then go to the Circus tonight. I think the circus is still on though. Depending on when the funeral is we may just also end up staying in New Orleans for a few days more. The funeral home is closed until Monday so nobody knows anything for sure yet on when a wake/funeral will be.
Hope everyone else is enjoying the holidays and eating lots of leftovers for breakfast! :))
