Mazda on crack

Yesterday while on the freeway, I heard a rock/pebble/etc smack into the windshield. Looked fine though. Two hours later, coworker and I went to lunch. Still nothing.
When we came out though, I found a crack stretching almost halfway across the windshield. Crazy heat probably expanded the glass enough to start the split.
It’ll cost about $275 to replace, woo.
