That is pure bullcrap! New Orleans was under an evacuation order, and furthermore, no management agency is allowed to consider moving from a damaged apartment a break of the lease. In fact, they are supposed to refund the security deposit to you!!
Give me a name and address to write to for that place- I’ll find the damn law and send them a letter from your attorney!
Hope y’all are well. Thanks for posting the house pictures. Sigh- depressing to look at on the web, so I can’t imagine how unsettling it was to see it for real.
