Taking a break
I’m sitting up by myself on the 2nd floor above the lobby. Found a comfy chair and just sitting and listening the wind howl by. Donna, dawn, and Henry are up in the room. I just can’t take the rattling and swaying up there.

Hey. Thought I’d log on and see if you were posting. Can’t believe ya’ll went to Mobile… I thought mom said you were going to florida. We went to Dallas. (I am stealing someone’s wireless interent right now!) From what I am hearing things don’t look good for us in Slidell. Not much info on the flooding or damage there but have heard them say that Slidell and gulfport were the hardest hit and there is probably not a single home or building in Slidell without some sort of rain or wind damage. I am more worried about rising water. They say the storm surge was bad but still no info on weather Slidell got any of that or just alot of rain. I do not have flood insurance so anything damaged from rising water will not be covered. I am worried sick. I am trying to get in touch with my neighbor who satyed home to see if he can tell us anything but allphones are down and cell phones are going direct to voicemail.Please pray for us and that our home faired well in this. Let me know if you hear any info on Slidell or how mom and Dave made out. Glad ya’ll are OK. Tell Donna HI.
According to the mayor, all of Slidell and most of Metarie are under water.
