Prepping for Evac

Stupid me hasn’t checked the news since friday morning and thought nothing of the Hurricane that’s in gulf. Whoops.

Now the thing is headed straight for us. If the track doesn’t turn by this afternoon, we’ll mostly evac east to Donna’s mom’s house in Bay St. Louis, MS (that’s above sea level unlike here).

    That might not be much better. Remember, the last one followed you there and they’re predicting high Cat 3 or Cat 4 for this one. Both of you be safe.

    Yeah, going east usually doesn’t make sense, but Donna’s mom’s house is like a bunker and it’s above Sea Level unlike New Orleans

    And of course, there’s no traffic going east so it’s an easy drive :) . Only thing that slowed us down was 2 drawbridges.
