Manning’s
Ma and I went to Archie Manning’s new restaurant for lunch. We’re
waiting for our food still, but we got to sit in the recliners! If
only I were a basketball fan, heh.

Faye and I went out to lunch with Gramps at 200 N Beach. The view, the food, and the company were all fabulous. Faye was a perfect little lady and ate all her sandwich (but not her crusts). We also walked around downtown, played at the playground, and Gramps and Faye flew a kite. The forecast predicted rain, but the weather was perfect.
A great visit! ‘Til next time!
We went to get Faye’s titers checked this morning. She was all smiles until the nurse started prepping her arm, then her smile sort of turned into a grimace. She held it together all through the blood-drawing, then as soon as the nurse left the room she went to pieces. We went to McDonalds for a smoothie and some playtime on the indoor playground. She felt better after a while, but she held her arm close to her chest until about 2:00 when I finally took the bandage off. Let’s hope all those tears weren’t for nothing and we can cross at least one shot off the checkup next month.
I’d been craving Vietnamese spring rolls, so tonight we did a “build your own” spring roll buffet. Faye enjoyed putting the rice paper wrappers into the warm water to soften, but she wouldn’t try anything. She had fish sticks and pizza. Oh well. Then she made a “mug cake” at Mimi’s that came out really yummy. We even got Mimi and Grandpere over to check out the kinect, but I didn’t take any pictures or Mimi would
kill me. She was a natural. We had a great night! Too bad tomorrow’s not Saturday.
Faye got to attend Baylee’s (my friend Kristy’s little girl) 4th birthday party yesterday. They are so alike in personality it’s scary. Several people said they look alike too, but I can tell them apart because Baylee’s mom always does her hair perfectly. Not a hair out of place. After fixing Faye’s ponytail twice I gave up and left it down. But we all had a great time. Thanks Miss B, and happy birthday!
Nothing like a frappuccino after a hard day of shopping. Now it’s nap time, followed by the Saints game.
