Stopped at Cassy’s on W. Esplanade for snoballs. I got strawberry shortcake and Donna got Grasshopper (tasted like an Andes mint). Yum yum.

Staying at a Day’s inn tonight in Metairie then off to family tomorrow.

We got wee bit of rain on the way in at Baton Rouge. Visibility for a while dropped to about 40 feet or so. Fun stuff. Good thing it was rush hour at least.

At the Louisiana welcome for a potty stop and feeding. It’s freaking outside so we’re hanging out in the car. Faye got a minute of tummy time on the front seat while Donna made her bottle.

Faye slept from when we picked her at 12:00 from daycare until I stopped the car in the parking lot just now at 2:15. So she’s been great so far. :)

Got the trench filled as it started to drizzle.

Only had one minor problem, I seem to have miscalculated the depth needed for the sprinkler heads, so they stick up about 1-2 inches from the dirt. But I think once the grass grows back they won’t be as noticeable. I’ll just have to go around them with the mower. But it’s something I can live with for a $150 DIY project (minus trench rental). :-)
